The quartz clock movement is broken and we can repair it ourselves. Of course, it is not possible to repair any damage to the quartz clock movement. For example, the coils inside the movement are burnt out or the quartz crystal oscillation cannot be repaired, and they can only be replaced with new ones, but these are rarely damaged unless they are inferior quartz clock movements. In fact, the movement of the quartz clock can also be repaired simply. The damage to the movement is generally due to different use environments, the internal gears of the movement are too dirty, and the power interface of the movement is rusted and poor contact. Let us introduce how to remove the movement.
The movement shell is generally not fixed with screws, but is stuck together. When disassembling, you can use a flat-line screwdriver to gently pry open all the snaps of the shell. After prying open, then gently lift the shell, be careful not to bring out the internal gears, and do not disrupt the order. Then put the gear aside and remember the front and reverse directions of the gears and their respective positions. After taking out the uppermost gear, take out the circuit board on the right to see if the power foot of the movement is rusted or has poor contact, and then wipe the power interface clean with sandpaper or paper. After wiping, you can first install the second hand and the battery to see if it is normal. If it is normal, then install it. If it is not normal, check whether the gear is installed in place. If the gear shaft is out of oil, you can add a small amount of clothes and car oil. Be sure to remember the position and front and back of the gears. If you are afraid of forgetting, you can take a photo as a reference first. Also, be sure to pay attention to when installing the back cover of the movement. Be sure to press vertically to avoid bending the gear shaft. After installing the back cover of the movement, push the adjustment knob of the quartz clock movement so that the gear teeth can be in place!
