Frequency and error
If in the course of everyday use, watches by the external environment, the influence of gravity, temperature and so on, then watch as error will occur. Assume a second will be an error, then the mechanical error 1/5 = 0.2 seconds, a second error 12 seconds in a minute. And the same situation, quartz watch a second error is 1/32768 = 0.00003 seconds, 0.0018 seconds to a minute error, the cumulative error is only 2.6 seconds a day. The quality of frequency, therefore, determines the error on the accuracy of watches when walking.
Through the calculation of the process, we may safely draw the conclusion that the higher the oscillation frequency, the more accurate as well. That is why quartz watch is more accurate than mechanical reasons.
